Ram is the most prominent and integral part of Indian culture and heritage. The events related to Ram’s life have a deep impact on the Indian public-life . Ram’s style of life is considered the best among men.The memories related to Ram are the base of festivals like Diwali-Dussehra and Ram-Navami. These festivals are celebrated with great festivity and enthusiasm all over the country. From birth to death, no work can be done without the name of Ram.The direction and style of living life is also decided in the lines of the most popular epic related to Ram that is ‘Ramayana’.
Ram and Krishna are two popular figure in India and in Hindu religion.Both are considered the incarnation of Lord Vishnu.Krishna is playful and his child-look is the most popular while Ram is known for his grace and dignity.Bhagwad Gita is related to Krishna and Ramayana is the life story of Ram.Both scriptures are sacred and popular in the whole country and world.
There are two most popular festivals in India among Hindu Community-Holi and Deepawali.
Holi is a playful festival of colours and it is very near to the personality of Krishna while Deepawali is celebrated to welcome the advent of Ram in his state (capital)-Ayodhya.
The personality of Ram is all-inclusive and perfect.He is the unique role model in every walk of life.As a student he is an ideal student of his Guru.He perfectes all the skills taught by his Guru.As a son, he is so much obedient that he is ready to spent fourteen years in forest.As a brother, he is quite responsible and caring.His love for his brothers-Laxaman, Bharat and Shatrughn is unbound and deep.As a husband, he fights with the most powerful king of the time (Ravana) and his strong army.He is loving father and sensitive king.His style of governance is called ‘Ram-raj'(A state with all comforts and facilities) As a democratic king, he is ready to listen a common man in the matter (character) of his wife.Not only he listens that common man but also he asks his wife to prove her character.Ram is away from the pride of prince or a king, he pays the fare to a boat-man even after the reluctance of that man.Ram behaves as so much commoner that he has no hesitance in having half-eaten fruits (Plum)
These all incidents shows the greatness and perfectness of the character of Ram.His name and character is the soul of Indian culture and tradition.

राम भारतीय संस्कृति और विरासत के सबसे प्रमुख और अभिन्न अंग हैं। राम के जीवन से जुड़ी घटनाओं का भारतीय जन-मानस पर गहरा प्रभाव है। राम की जीवन शैली मनुष्यों में सर्वश्रेष्ठ मानी जाती है। राम से जुड़ी स्मृतियाँ ही दिवाली-दशहरा और राम-नवमी जैसे त्योहारों का आधार हैं। ये त्यौहार पूरे देश में बड़े धूमधाम और उत्साह के साथ मनाये जाते हैं। जन्म से लेकर मृत्यु तक राम के नाम के बिना कोई काम नहीं चलता। राम से संबंधित सबसे लोकप्रिय महाकाव्य ‘रामायण’ की पंक्तियों के आधार पर ही जीवन जीने की दिशा और शैली पूरे हिंदुस्तान में तय होती है।
भारत और हिंदू धर्म में राम और कृष्ण दो लोकप्रिय और अमर चरित्र हैं। दोनों को ही भगवान विष्णु का अवतार माना जाता है। कृष्ण चंचल हैं और उनका बाल रूप सबसे लोकप्रिय है जबकि राम अपनी मर्यादा और गरिमा के लिए जाने जाते हैं। ‘भगवत-गीता’ कृष्ण से संबंधित है और ‘रामायण’ राम की जीवन गाथा है। दोनों ही ग्रंथ पूरे देश और दुनिया में पवित्र और लोकप्रिय हैं।
भारत में हिंदू समुदाय के बीच दो सबसे लोकप्रिय त्योहार हैं- होली और दीपावली।
होली रंगों का एक मस्तीभरा त्योहार है और यह कृष्ण के व्यक्तित्व के बहुत करीब है जबकि दीपावली राम के राज्य (राजधानी) -अयोध्या में आगमन का स्वागत करने के लिए मनाई जाती है।
राम का व्यक्तित्व सर्वसमावेशी और परिपूर्ण है। वह जीवन के हर क्षेत्र में अद्वितीय आदर्श हैं। एक छात्र के रूप में वह अपने गुरु के आदर्श छात्र हैं। वह अपने गुरु द्वारा सिखाए गए सभी कौशलों को पूर्ण निष्ठा के साथ सीखते हैं। एक पुत्र के रूप में, वे इतने आज्ञाकारी है कि वे चौदह वर्ष वन में बिताने के लिए तैयार है। एक भाई के रूप में, वे काफी जिम्मेदार और देखभाल करने वाले है। अपने भाइयों-लक्ष्मण, भरत और शत्रुघ्न के लिए उसका प्यार असीम और गहरा है। एक पति के रूप में, वे उस समय के सबसे शक्तिशाली औऱ मायावी राजा (रावण) और उसकी मजबूत सेना से लड़ते हैं। वह पिता से प्यार करने वाले और संवेदनशील राजा है। उनकी शासन शैली को ‘राम-राज’ (सभी सुख-सुविधाओं वाला राज्य) कहा जाता है। एक लोकतांत्रिक राजा के रूप में, वे अपनी पत्नी के चरित्र के मामले में एक आम आदमी की बात को सुनते और न केवल उस आम आदमी की बात सुनते है बल्कि वह अपनी पत्नी से अपने चरित्र को साबित करने के लिए भी कहते है। राम राजकुमार या राजा के अहंकार से दूर हैं, वे नदी पार करवाने वाले केवट को उसकी अनिच्छा के बावजूद किराया चुकाते हैं|राम इतना सामान्य व्यवहार करते हैं कि उन्हें शबरी के झूठे बेर खाने में कोई हिचकिचाहट नहीं होती है।
ये सभी घटनाएँ राम के चरित्र की महानता और परिपूर्णता को दर्शाती हैं। उनका नाम और चरित्र भारतीय संस्कृति और परंपरा की आत्मा है|
